About Fishing
Fishing at Pomene Bay, in Mozambique, will test skills and tackle. This is heaven for big game fishing where King Fish, Tuna, Wahoo, Couta and Bill Fish thrive. These unspoilt waters are world renowned for the most incredible fish life.

Here is when you can expect to catch your big game fish:

The best months for catching Black Marlin are between October and the end of January.

Blue and Striped Marlin are found between September and January.

Main Sailfish season runs from June to September.

Fly-fishing for Queenfish, Ladyfish, Pompano and several species of Kingfish are unsurpassed. Best season being from March to July.

Rock and surf fish include Kingfish, Couta, King Mackerel, Springer and Big Garfish. Other catches include Barracuda, Bludger, Dorado, Green Jobfish, Kawakawa, Prodigal Son, Rainbow Runner, Skipjack, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo.

A variety of shark species also occur offshore:

The rare Whale Shark, the largest shark and the largest fish in the world. Reaching up to 14m and weighing up to 15tons. Other shark species include: Blackspot, Blacktip, Bull, Dusky, Silvertip, Tiger and Zambezi.
